2,000 union members receive free cancer screening

Ba Ria - Vung Tau - Xuyen Moc District Labor Union organized liver cancer screening tests for 2,000 union members in the area.

On April 18, Xuyen Moc District Labor Federation coordinated with Medlatec health system to organize a free screening test program for union members and workers in the area.

The program is expected to take place from now until the end of May 2025 with about 2,000 union members and workers from units, schools and enterprises in Xuyen Moc district will be tested for free AFP index, to screen for liver cancer risk.

Ms. Tran Minh Bao Vy - Chairman of the Xuyen Moc District Labor Federation - said that this is one of the activities to care for union members and workers, towards Workers' Month, Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene in 2025. This is a meaningful activity to protect union members' health, helping to detect early signs of liver abnormalities for timely treatment.

In addition to being exempted from AFP index testing, union members and workers participating also receive a 5% discount on other testing and testing services if needed.

"Through this activity, it also helps raise awareness among union members and workers in proactively taking care of their health and accessing modern medical services. At the same time, it also creates conditions for union members to enjoy increasingly practical and effective welfare policies," Ms. Vy commented.
