Speaking at the anniversary ceremony, Mr. To Xuan Thao - Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that, along with the whole country, the contingent of workers, civil servants, laborers and the Quang Ninh Trade Union organization are transforming strongly to enter a completely new stage of development of the country.
Faced with the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the digital transformation process, green transformation and Vietnam's deep participation in new generation free trade agreements, along with the emergence of employee representative organizations at enterprises, trade union organizations need to continue to innovate to meet practical requirements.
According to Mr. To Xuan Thao, trade union levels in the province need to continue to innovate thinking and vision; shift from administration to service, from management to companionship, from response to creation; strongly focus on grassroots levels, taking union members as the center, taking stable and strong businesses as an environment for workers to contribute, be attached to and accompany development.
To continue to promote the 97-year glorious tradition, accompanying the goal of making Quang Ninh province soon become a centrally-run city, with the action slogan "Quang Ninh Trade Union: Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Quang Ninh Trade Union organization identifies focusing on implementing 3 strategic breakthroughs and 4 key task groups.
Three strategic breakthroughs include: promoting dialogue, collective bargaining, focusing on salaries, bonus regimes, working hours, rest hours, improving working conditions, safety, and occupational hygiene; building a team of professional trade union officials at all levels, with sufficient qualities, bravery and capacity to meet the requirements and tasks in the new era of development; innovating the operating methods of trade union organizations, focusing on applying science, technology, artificial intelligence and comprehensive digital transformation.
The four key task groups identified include: innovating propaganda, education and building the working class; effectively performing the core function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; innovating the patriotic emulation movement; focusing on developing union members and building strong trade union organizations.
In which, regarding propaganda and education, Quang Ninh Trade Union will continue to widely propagate the Party's guidelines; arouse national pride, the tradition of "Discipline and Unity"; build a team of modern workers with firm political bravery, industrial style, professional qualifications, professional skills and digital skills.
Regarding the work of caring for and protecting union members and workers, the goal is to increase the coverage rate of collective labor agreements to over 85% of eligible enterprises; and at the same time promote long-term welfare programs, develop social housing, and worker housing.
In the patriotic emulation movement, Quang Ninh Trade Union will organize practical emulation movements associated with the movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income", emulation to study and follow Uncle Ho. The whole province strives to have at least 5,000 initiatives of union members effectively applied to production, business and work practices during the term.
Regarding organizational development, in the period 2025 - 2030, Quang Ninh Trade Union strives to develop at least 20,000 union members each year; 100% of enterprises with 20 or more workers have trade union organizations.
On this occasion, the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation awarded the "July 28th Award" in 2026 to 16 grassroots trade union presidents and vice presidents with outstanding and typical achievements in trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers; and awarded prizes for the "Dance of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers of Quang Ninh in the new era" contest in 2026.
