On February 25, representatives of the Hanoi Employment Service Center said that before the Lunar New Year, recruitment demand in the Capital focused on industry groups such as: Wholesale, retail, and manufacturing industry.
Regarding the recruitment situation of businesses in January 2026, the number of newly established and returning to operation businesses tends to increase again, contributing to a positive impact on the labor market, the city's recruitment demand reached 60,000 positions.
Based on the survey, collecting information on 9,026 recruitment targets of 1,369 vacant jobs at the Center, recruitment demand focuses on industry groups such as: Wholesale, retail and other service activities accounting for about 58.3% (up 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous month), followed by the processing and manufacturing industry - construction accounting for 18.5% (down 37.7% points compared to the previous month). Businesses are increasingly focusing on recruiting highly skilled workers, especially in the context of the current information technology revolution. According to survey data from the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the main recruitment demand requires workers with college degrees or higher, accounting for 43.2% of the total recruitment demand.
Regarding salary levels, businesses mainly pay employees a salary of 5-10 million VND/month, accounting for 68.4% of the total recruitment demand; salary levels from 10-20 million VND/month account for 29.1%.
The Hanoi Employment Service Center assessed that the labor market in February 2026 continued to grow strongly, driven by production and business demand.
