According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in April 2026, workers looking for jobs in the 35-54 age group accounted for 42.2%, showing that the demand for job transfer or finding new opportunities in the core labor group is very large.
The group from 15-34 years old accounts for 55.6% of the entire market, reflecting the characteristics of Hanoi as a place where a large number of new graduates and young workers from other localities gather to find jobs.
The technical expertise of job seekers is mainly concentrated in the group with university degrees or higher (accounting for 35.8%), showing the fierce competition of highly qualified workers.
Next is the group without training, accounting for 37.8%, mainly focusing on jobs such as loading and unloading workers, garbage workers, sales staff, delivery staff. However, groups of workers with elementary, intermediate, and college degrees account for a fairly modest proportion, which creates a shortage of skilled workers with intermediate technical skills.
In general, the job search trend of workers is focusing on two poles: either having high professional qualifications, or not having qualifications. This indicates that the Hanoi labor market in April is experiencing a surplus of highly skilled and unskilled workers, but a shortage of skilled technical workers," the Hanoi Employment Service Center assessed.
