On May 14, the Hanoi Employment Service Center said that in April 2026, workers in the Capital tend to look for new job opportunities to increase income. Along with that, businesses also restarted production and business activities, creating many vacant jobs, especially in the group of unskilled workers and office workers. In April 2026, in the entire City, the number of workers looking for jobs is 53,000 people.
Based on a survey, collecting information on 2,600 job seekers' records from the Hanoi Employment Service Center, it shows that the desired salary of workers is mainly from 5-10 million VND/month (accounting for 57%), mainly focusing on general labor positions and new employees.
Salaries from 10-20 million VND/month account for 36.1%, showing a shift in labor to high-value industries such as technology and services.
Salaries over 20 million VND/month account for 2.8%, concentrated in the fields of technology, finance, management, requiring high skills.
This shows caution in workers' income expectations in the current economic situation," the Hanoi Employment Service Center said.
