Traditional beauty in female workers and employees in the Industry and Trade sector
On March 17, in Quang Ninh, the Vietnam National Union of Industry and Trade organized a conference to summarize the emulation movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework" for the period 2020-2025.
Mr. Le An Hai - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union - said that in recent years, the movement "Good at work - Good at home" has become a traditional beauty among female workers and civil servants in the Industry and Trade sector.
The achievements of the Industry and Trade sector have the great contribution of female workers and employees, who are an important labor force for growth and development of the country; women in the Industry and Trade sector are increasingly affirming their roles and positions in political life and leadership and management, increasingly improving both in quantity and quality, present in all fields, especially pioneering on the front of scientific and technological research and innovation" - Mr. Le An Hai shared.
According to leaders of the Vietnam National Union of Industry and Trade, in 5 years, nearly 90% of female workers and employees achieved the title "Good at state affairs, good at housework" at all levels.
The VGCL awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 individuals, including 1 individual who achieved excellent results in the emulation movement "Good at work - Good at home" in the period 2020-2025... At the conference, the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union commended and rewarded 30 typical female heads of departments; awarded 5 Flags to collectives; Certificates of Merit to 26 collectives and 59 individuals.
Spreading many typical examples
In the period 2020-2025, the emulation movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework" was concretized by Trade Union levels in accordance with the characteristics and requirements of each unit, attracting a large number of female workers and employees to participate.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuc Quyen - Vice Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Southern Battery Joint Stock Company was honored to be 1 of 60 typical individuals to receive Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour at the Award Ceremony "Proactive, Creative, and Responsible Female Trade Union Member" for the first time in 2025.
Ms. Thuc Quyen is always actively building plans, launching emulation movements, and coordinating with the government to maintain trade union activities. Thanks to that, she has mobilized female workers to participate in movements, promote technical innovation, thrift, anti-corruption and social evils, and at the same time propose rewards for outstanding individuals.
Dr. Hoang Thi Hoa - Sao Do University is a woman with strong will and aspiration. In early 2020, before the outbreak of COVID-19, she did not mind day and night to promptly find a formula and successfully mix dry hand sanitizer based on the formula of the WHO organization, contributing to the whole country to push back the epidemic and build a beautiful life for the community.
In particular, Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh Thuy - Lecturer of Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Central Vietnam College of Industry and Trade has an initiative on the topic "Good at work, good at home" effectively applied within the grassroots level.
The "Gender Equality at the Workplace" initiative was highly appreciated by the VGCL and awarded a Certificate of Merit in 2025, making an important contribution to bringing the School to win the First Prize of the "UN Women WEPs Awards 2024".
