On October 29, the Bac Nha Trang Ward Trade Union announced that the unit had successfully organized the 1st Ward Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
The congress was attended by leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, leaders of Bac Nha Trang ward and 121 official delegates.
After Bac Nha Trang ward was established, the locality has 61 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with 6,482 union members. Immediately after the establishment of the Ward Trade Union, the Executive Committee quickly developed regulations, activities and supported the grassroots trade unions to complete procedures according to the new regulations.
At the same time, the Ward Trade Union has participated in supervising 3 enterprises in compliance with labor laws, occupational safety and hygiene, as well as policies and regimes for employees.
The work of caring for and organizing the movement was effectively implemented. Notable are the activity of giving gifts to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances at the beginning of the school year with a total budget of 205 million VND; The Mid-Autumn Festival is organized for nearly 450 children of union members and children in the area with a budget of nearly 250 million VND.
At the Congress, the Bac Nha Trang Ward Trade Union identified the key task in the 2025-2030 term as building a strong trade union organization that performs well its functions and tasks in the new situation. The delegates voted to approve 21 targets for the term.
Specifically, strive to have at least 90% of workers in the non-state sector trade union as union members; admit 50% of informal sector workers to the Vietnam Trade Union.
At least 80% of enterprises with trade unions will negotiate and sign collective labor agreements (CLAs); 100% of ward union officials will participate in the movement "Solidarity and affectionate residential areas".
Every year, the Ward Union will organize at least one activity to care for union members such as "Tet Sum Vay" and "Worker's Month", while supporting the construction and repair of at least 2 "Union Shelter" houses.
The Congress also announced the decision of the Provincial Federation of Labor on appointing the Executive Committee of the Bac Nha Trang Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 13 members. Mr. Le Van My, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Nha Trang Ward, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union.
