Currently, the Vietnam Education Union (CĐGD) is managing 43,381 union members belonging to 74 affiliated trade unions.
Based on the direction and guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), the Ministry of Education and Training, at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, the VGCL issued Guidance No. 571/HD-CĐGD dated September 17, 2025 guiding the participation in implementing democracy at the grassroots level for trade unions directly under the VGCL.

Trade unions of units have proactively participated with employers to take care of the material and spiritual life of CBNGNLĐ; the value of lunch meals is from 25,000-35,000 VND/portion to ensure the health of CBNGNLĐ; 21/21 units have successfully dialogued and negotiated to increase the value of lunch meals from the minimum level to 25,000 VND/portion or more for 6,838 CBNGNLĐ to benefit.
