Currently, the Vietnam Driving and Agricultural Machinery Corporation - JSC (VEAM) Trade Union directly manages and directs 23 grassroots trade unions, with a total of more than 14,490 employees, of which 3,137 are female. 98% of employees are signed by the Labor Union, the enterprise has fully paid social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, and working conditions have been increasingly improved. Policy regimes for employees are fully and promptly paid.
According to Mr. Mai Manh Dung, in recent times, trade unions at all levels in the Corporation have performed well the function of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees.
Many grassroots trade unions have fulfilled their responsibilities well through regular coordination with counter-level experts, timely implementation and serious implementation of the provisions in the 2019 Labor Code, Social Insurance, Trade Union Law, Grassroots Democracy Regulations and signed collective labor agreements - Mr. Mai Manh Dung said.
Along with that, the trade union proactively coordinates to participate in handling complaints and denunciations; perform the function of supervising the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations, unit regulations and other regulations, in order to constantly improve and ensure success in "building and maintaining harmonious labor relations, for the progress and sustainable development of enterprises".

Coordinate with the expertise of perfecting the occupational safety and health Council from the Corporation to the grassroots; occupational safety and health - PCCN work is promoted, inspections are maintained effectively; solutions to reduce occupational accidents and diseases are promoted; constantly improve the environment and working conditions for employees; 97% of employees receive regular health care and check-ups.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year in the period of 2023-2025, the Corporation's Trade Union coordinated with the Vietnam Trade Union to visit and provide subsidies to over 1,200 families of employees; during the Labor Safety and Hygiene Month and Workers' Month, it visited, encouraged and provided subsidies to over 150 families of employees with particularly difficult economic circumstances or those who had work-related accidents, each gift worth 700,000 - 1,000,000 VND/person.
In addition to caring for improving material life, trade unions at all levels also pay special attention to physical activities, ensuring a refreshing and healthy spiritual life. Through competitions, fairs, sports events, exchanges, seminars, and propaganda information, workers have been immersed in a wider space, increasing the spirit of solidarity and attachment.
Charitable social work has always been a parallel function in trade union activities. In the period of 2023-2025, the Trade Union of VEAM Corporation has deployed and organized propaganda and mobilization campaigns and has been actively responded to and participated by the majority of employees in the Corporation. The implementation of the campaign to support the construction of social funds according to the policy of the leaders of the Ministry and the Vietnam Trade Union has been effectively implemented by trade unions at all levels and employees.
Along with implementing the support program for charity social funds, trade unions at all levels also coordinated to mobilize workers to support and respond to major campaigns launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on the occasion of the Day for the Poor and areas affected by floods and natural disasters; support, visit and give gifts to families of workers in difficult circumstances, with the number of visitors being 3,592 people, worth 3.2 billion VND; build and repair 4 Trade Union Shelters; continue to care for 6 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; donate gifts to support shift-time dining facilities for workers worth 50 million VND.
