Immediately after storm No. 13 and the historic flood, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) organized many visits and presented gifts to support union members and workers at enterprises in the area, which were heavily affected by natural disasters.

At Phuoc An Thanh Trading Private Enterprise (Quy Nhon Tay Ward), the Provincial Trade Union presented 31 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to share difficulties and help workers soon stabilize their lives.
At Greewind Company Limited (Diem Tieu village, Phu My commune), the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 30 gifts, each worth 1 million VND to union members and workers. At the same time, he gave a special gift worth 5 million VND to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - a worker whose house collapsed due to the storm.

In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented a gift worth 5 million VND to Mr. Dang Van Du - a worker at Quang Dung Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Binh Duong commune) - whose house was completely collapsed by the storm.
At An Long Wood Processing Joint Stock Company (Phuoc An Industrial Park, Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune), the Provincial Federation of Labor continues to give 30 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to union members and workers affected by storms and floods.

The support levels implemented by the Provincial Federation of Labor include: 5 million VND for cases of completely collapsed or partially collapsed houses; 2 million VND for cases of completely blown-off houses or severe damage; 1 million VND for cases of partially blown-off houses and other damages.

The support source is mobilized from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Confederations of Labor of provinces and cities and the budget of the Provincial Federation of Labor, with a total estimated cost of more than 2.4 billion VND.
To date, the Provincial Federation of Labor has supported 278 union members and workers at enterprises in the area, with a total cost of 471 million VND. The remaining funds will be transferred to the Commune and Ward Trade Unions to continue implementing support.

These words of encouragement and practical support gifts help union members and workers reduce difficulties after natural disasters; at the same time, they demonstrate the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting union members and workers.
