Ms. Dam Thi Minh Anh (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) graduated from the Korean department of a university but is currently working as a restaurant manager in Cau Giay District (Hanoi). Graduating from university in 2022, Ms. Minh Anh used to work as an employee for a branch of a Korean travel agency opened in Hanoi; worked as an interpreter for a travel company... With an unstable and stressful job, Ms. Minh Anh decided to stop her young dream and apply to work as an administrative staff at a restaurant. Experts in employment and career guidance said that many people are not qualified from the stage of choosing a career, leading to not being able to find a place when graduating and entering the labor market. Sharing the same view, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong - former Director of the Institute of Social Labor Science said that the current labor market is always fluctuating, when choosing a career, workers must partly grasp the trend and improve skills to meet the requirements of future work.
"We should not think that just by having a bachelor's degree in hand, we can immediately find a suitable job. When you do well, there are many people who do it excellently; when you are excellent, there are even more excellent people," said Ms. Huong.
Ms. Huong also recommended that in the current context, workers pay special attention to improving their skills, raising awareness of self-study and updating knowledge about AI.
