The 1st Congress of the Vinh Long Labor Union, term 2025 - 2030, identified 3 goals to create strong changes in activities, focusing on improving the quality of representation, caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
Three breakthroughs are identified as the basis for the Trade Union to innovate, adapt to socio-economic development conditions, while meeting the requirements of integration, digital transformation and enhancing its role in enterprises as well as working life.
The first breakthrough focuses on building long-term, comprehensive welfare programs, towards sustainable connectivity between union members, trade unions and enterprises in the context of increasingly diverse social security needs.
The union prioritizes shifting from a short-term care model to a sustainable welfare strategy, ensuring union members have better access to services on housing, income, employment, family life and long-term development conditions.
Solutions include building trade union institutions associated with workers' housing, kindergartens, and living areas; mobilizing businesses to expand welfare; improving the effectiveness of the "Union Shelter", "Tet Sum Vay" and "Workers' Market" programs.
The union focuses on exploiting preferential capital from the microfinance program and the Social Policy Bank to support union members' families in developing the economy, minimizing the risk of black credit among workers.
The second breakthrough is to develop a team of professional, brave, creative union officials with the capacity to implement the resolution, lead the movement and effectively resolve issues arising at the grassroots level.
The tasks set out include planning, training, appointing staff; innovating training content; enhancing dialogue and negotiation skills and supporting staff to access new knowledge to suit modern business requirements.
Focusing on improving foreign language proficiency, communication skills and legal understanding is also an important factor to help union officials become more confident in an increasingly expanding and integrated working environment.
The third breakthrough aims to promote innovation and digital transformation applications, taking advantage of technological achievements to improve the efficiency of management, propaganda, operation and care for union members using digital platforms.
The union deploys an electronic document management system, applying digital signatures, online meetings, promoting the "paperless meeting room" model, expanding the use of social networks to reach union members more quickly and promptly.
Training activities on the application of information technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence are enhanced to help cadres improve their skills, while promoting the spread of the digital union model throughout the system.
The synchronous implementation of three breakthroughs creates an important foundation for Vinh Long Trade Union to build a strong organization, strengthen union members' trust and contribute to the socio-economic development of the province in the new period.
