On November 21, the Trade Union of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital (Vinh Long province) held a Trade Union Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term. Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - attended and directed the Congress.
During the past term, the Trade Union has cared for union members' lives by handing over 2 " healing shelters" worth 100 million VND, spending more than 618 million VND for funerals, 134 million VND for medical examinations, organizing vacation tours for about 400 people and supporting 1.85 billion VND in Tet gifts for 3,707 union members.
The grassroots union mobilized more than 1 billion VND to support disadvantaged patients, maintain emulation movements, implement 65 initiatives, develop 1,263 union members and care for female workers with 430.27 million VND.
Entering the new term, the Congress set a goal of raising political and professional awareness; admitting 100% of qualified VC-NLD, introducing 10 outstanding union members to the Party each year and implementing at least 40 initiatives.
The trade union strengthens inspection and supervision according to plan; coordinates the implementation of policies for workers, takes care of female workers, organizes activities for children of VC-NLD and maintains the Medical Shelter Fund, and supports union members in difficulty.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 13 comrades, Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh - Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Director of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital, re-elected as Chairwoman of the Trade Union.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Commemorative Medal for the cause of building the Trade Union organization to Mr. Trinh Minh Hiep - Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Hospital.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh praised the outstanding results that the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital Trade Union has achieved in the past term.
Mr. Linh highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, solidarity and efforts in caring for union members' lives, maintaining emulation movements and improving the quality of service for patients.
He suggested that the new Executive Committee continue to promote its role as a representative, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights of union members, especially the workforce at departments under high pressure.
At the same time, promote propaganda work, improve medical ethics, increase the application of information technology; strongly launch initiatives and technical improvement movements, maintain patient satisfaction rate above 95% and strive to maintain the title of "Excellent completion of tasks" every year.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh expressed his confidence that the Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term will continue to innovate its methods of operation, propose effective solutions and be determined to successfully implement the Congress Resolution, contributing to the development of the Trade Union and the hospital.
