Pursuant to Article 169 of the 2019 Labor Code regulating retirement age, employees who ensure the conditions on the period of social insurance payment according to the provisions of the law on social insurance are entitled to receive pensions when they reach retirement age.
The retirement age of employees in normal working conditions is adjusted according to the roadmap until reaching 62 years old for male employees in 2028 and 60 years old for female employees in 2035.
From 2021, the retirement age of employees in normal working conditions will be 60 years and 3 months for male employees and 55 years and 4 months for female employees; after that, it will increase by 3 months each year for male employees and 4 months for female employees.
Workers with reduced working capacity; working in particularly arduous, toxic, or dangerous occupations or jobs; working in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions can retire at a lower age but not more than 5 years compared to the prescribed age at the time of retirement, unless otherwise provided by law.
Workers with high professional and technical qualifications and some special cases can retire at a higher age but not more than 5 years compared to the prescribed age at the time of retirement, unless otherwise provided by law.
