Tran Hiep Thanh Textile Joint Stock Company (Trang Bang Industrial Park, Tay Ninh Province) currently has more than 1,000 union members and workers. Over the years, businesses have identified taking care of shift meals as an important factor to ensure health and contribute to improving labor productivity.
According to the proposal of the grassroots union, each daily meal at the company is worth 35,000 VND, cooked by the company itself to ensure hygiene, food safety and nutritional balance.
Since 2021, the "Happy Meals" program has been implemented quarterly, then expanded to a monthly activity from 2024. The meals in this program are worth from 50,000-75,000 VND, with a diverse menu, ensuring higher nutritional value than normal days.
According to statistics, the additional cost of organizing these meals is about 500 million VND per year. The implementation is assessed to bring positive results, both improving the welfare regime for employees and creating motivation for long-term attachment to the enterprise.
In the "Union Meal" program held at the end of July 2025, the Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation highly appreciated this model, considering it a practical form of care, contributing to encouraging workers to participate in production more effectively.
In parallel with ensuring nutritious meals, the grassroots union and the company also implement many other welfare policies such as year-end lucky money, birthday gifts, and support for holidays.
Every year, businesses and trade unions coordinate to survey and collect opinions from workers to adjust and improve the quality of welfare. From 2024, the company will also apply the work efficiency reward (KPI) mechanism, considering this a tool to encourage and recognize employees' contributions.
