On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, Trade Unions at all levels in Ninh Binh province simultaneously organized "Union Meals" to strengthen the affection between employees and enterprises, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the working environment.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor - shared that "Union Meal" is a meaningful activity organized to demonstrate the practical concern of trade union organizations at all levels for the lives of workers.
This is not only an opportunity for union members and employees to gather at an intimate meal, but also an opportunity to strengthen collective solidarity, sharing and mutual understanding.
The program is organized flexibly, for units and enterprises that are organizing daily shift meals for employees, they should organize "Union Meals" right at the company.
For units that do not organize shift meals at the workplace, the Trade Union will coordinate and negotiate with the Company's Board of Directors to agree on a location for organizing the "Union Meal" to ensure safety, suitability to the actual situation and not affecting the company's production activities.
During the "Union Meal" event, the units will integrate additional activities such as: admitting new union members, giving gifts to workers in difficulty, cooking competitions, cultural exchanges... creating a warm, vibrant and humane atmosphere.
The role of the Trade Union organization is clearly demonstrated through proactively developing plans, negotiating with employers, mobilizing social resources to organize quality and meaningful meals.
The quality and value of "Union Meal" are increased many times compared to the daily shift meals of workers, in which the union budget will support a maximum of 50,000 VND/meal and social support sources.
"Union Meal" therefore not only helps improve the material and spiritual life of workers, but also affirms the role of a reliable support of the Trade Union in the journey to accompany and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
"The "Union Meal" program will be held from July 20 to September 2, the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor will select a maximum of 5 units and enterprises to organize, and at the same time prepare from 500 to 1,000 gifts to give to workers in difficult circumstances" - Mr. Long said.
