On January 23, the Vietnam Health Union organized the Conference to Summarize Trade Union Work in 2025, directions and tasks for 2026. Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) attended the conference.
In 2025, the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers is implemented regularly and practically. Grassroots trade unions (CDCS) closely coordinate with the same-level authorities, ensuring salary, bonus and related policies for workers. The trade union meal program is effectively implemented at 39 CDCS, supporting 19,514 union members and workers with a total budget of more than 1.18 billion VND, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and attachment in the unit.

The Vietnam Health Union also promptly supported union members affected by natural disasters, storms and floods and cases of violence; supported 6 grassroots trade unions and 54 union members with a total amount of 230 million VND; and launched donations to support people in disaster-stricken areas.
In the business sector, the work of negotiating, signing and implementing collective labor agreements (CLAs) continues to be emphasized. 98% of grassroots trade unions in enterprises participate in signing CLAs; 100% of grassroots trade unions in enterprises organize employee conferences. Legal advisory activities are strengthened; The legal advisory team of the Vietnam Health Union is strengthened with the participation of officials and experts inside and outside the industry. In 2025, 17,789 turns of union members and employees were consulted on regimes, policies and labor laws...
Speaking to direct at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour acknowledged the achievements of the Vietnam Health Union in 2025. In 2026, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan requested the Vietnam Health Union to continue to clearly affirm the representative role of the Trade Union organization, taking the care and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers as the center. Proactively participate in building and supervising the implementation of policies directly related to the medical staff, especially on salaries, allowances, working conditions, safety and security in medical facilities.
Along with that, it is necessary to promote innovation in the content and methods of trade union activities in a practical and effective direction, strongly towards the grassroots level. Strengthen the application of information technology, digital transformation in management, administration and organization of activities. Gradually bring digital skills and application of artificial intelligence into trade union work, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
The Vietnam Health Union needs to continue to consider the work of developing union members and building a strong trade union organization as a key task, focusing on the non-state sector. Linking the development of quantity with improving the quality of union members, building trust and practical attachment of workers to the trade union organization.

The Vietnam Health Union needs to effectively organize and implement patriotic emulation movements associated with the professional tasks of the health sector, especially the innovation movement, improving the quality of people's health care and protection in the spirit of Resolution 72 of the Politburo. Thereby, arousing the spirit of responsibility, medical ethics, innovation and aspiration to contribute of the team of officials and medical staff throughout the sector.
Proactively and actively participate in building a clean and strong Party and government; do a good job of detecting, fostering, and introducing outstanding union members to the Party, contributing to building a team of "both pink and specialized" health officials, meeting the development requirements of the country in the new development period.
The Vietnam Health Union needs to actively participate and promote the core role of the Health Sector Trade Union in the activities of the Central Sector Trade Union Emulation Cluster, contributing to completing the tasks of the industry and each unit as well as the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers nationwide.
The conference awarded the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Certificates of Merit of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to collectives and individuals; awarded Creative Labor Certificates to 6 individuals; awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag and Certificates of Merit of the Vietnam Health Trade Union to collectives... At the conference, the Vietnam Health Trade Union launched the emulation movement in 2026.
