Learning from Uncle Ho from the spirit of responsibility to work
As a member of the Party Cell, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union and Head of the Administrative - Accounting Department of the Hoi An Ward Market Management Board, Mr. Le Duong Luc always believes that studying and following Uncle Ho must first start from successfully completing the assigned tasks.
In the past three years, he directly advised on more than 600 directing and operating documents; advised on resolving 120 petitions from citizens and business households; implemented dossiers to re-sign 250 business premises lease contracts at the market in accordance with actual operations.
At the same time, advising on many solutions to improve management efficiency, contributing to helping the unit complete and exceed annual revenue targets.
It is noteworthy that learning from Uncle Ho in Mr. Luc is not only reflected in the spirit of dedication and responsibility but also in innovative thinking, daring to think and dare to do for the common good.
In 2023, he built the "Hoi An Market Management Operation Software" initiative to help manage all information, contracts and data related to business households.
In 2024, he continued to deploy the Zalo application in digital communication to serve market management, creating a direct connection channel between the Market Management Board and small traders.
In 2025, he built an initiative to apply digital technology in position-based marking management and supervise the performance of tasks of civil servants and employees. All initiatives have been recognized for their effective application by competent authorities.
Sharing about his motivation, Mr. Le Duong Luc said: "I always keep in mind that studying Uncle Ho is not about great things, but about doing a good job every day, finding ways to innovate to serve people, small traders and workers better. Each initiative that is effectively applied is a way to contribute to improving service quality and operational efficiency of the unit.
Bringing studying Uncle Ho into trade union activities
In his role as Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union, he regularly grasps the thoughts and aspirations of union members; participates in building and perfecting regulations directly related to workers' rights such as grassroots democracy regulations, internal spending regulations, and emulation and commendation regulations.
Many practical policies have been implemented such as maintaining periodic health check-ups, buying accident insurance for 100% of officials and employees; organizing visits and learning experiences; taking care of the spiritual life of union members and their families.
In particular, through periodic dialogues, the trade union has coordinated and agreed to implement a midday meal regime of 730,000 VND/person/month, pay overtime wages and equip labor protection for workers.
The spirit of learning from Uncle Ho is also concretized by him with community-oriented models. From the model "Ware with fire extinguishers", "Task group to propagate the restoration of business order, urban beauty, environmental sanitation", to "Information and guidance team for implementing administrative procedures, cashless payments", all are aimed at serving people better, building a civilized, safe and modern business environment.
Another highlight in Mr. Le Duong Luc's journey of studying and following Uncle Ho is the transformation of seemingly very large content into specific tasks, easy to measure by practical effectiveness.
These are software that helps reduce work processing time, reduce stationery costs, and improve management efficiency. These are dialogues that help workers have more benefits. These are fire prevention and fighting models, environmental protection or cashless payments that bring practical benefits to the small business community.
Being recognized as a Grassroots Emulation Soldier for three consecutive years, receiving many certificates of merit and certificates of commendation from all levels is a worthy recognition of those efforts. But perhaps the more meaningful reward for Mr. Luc is the trust of union members and workers and the spread of practical actions in the community.
