Building a happy working environment
Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. is a 100% foreign-invested enterprise of Korea, specializing in the production of sports shoes for export under the Nike brand. The company currently has more than 40,000 employees, of which 99.99% are union members.
The Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. was also established in 1996, has also performed well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, building a harmonious and stable relationship in the enterprise.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu shared that after more than 30 years of working with the Trade Union, he always clearly understands what workers need most and what their concerns are most. From there, the Trade Union organization where he is the leader knows how to share the best things with the company's employees, always finds ways to take better care of the lives of union members and employees, creating a comfortable working environment for employees to feel that the workplace is a "happy company".
To achieve that goal, Mr. Dang Tuan Tu and the Executive Board of the grassroots trade union always determine that the trade union cadre must first of all have a heart, must always put the workers in his heart. And that heart must be expressed through concrete actions.
From 2002 to present, the company's grassroots union has coordinated with the company's board of directors to build and repair more than 200 Union Shelters for union members and workers with an amount of over 5.4 billion VND.
The company's trade union has implemented 3 effective activities to care for housing for union members and workers over the years, including: Union members who do not have a house will be supported by the trade union to build a new union Shelter; Union members who have the conditions to build a new house will be given gifts to workers who build a new house; Union members who have a house but have a dilapidated house will have a team of "volunteers" specializing in repairing the house for free for union members and workers.
The trade union is the mainstay of union members and workers
In addition, the union also has a gift giving program for workers building new houses (tivi, washing machines, refrigerators) that has been implemented since 2019 to date with a total amount of more than 1.7 billion VND. Through these activities, union members and workers are able to connect with the company.
In addition, the company's trade union also has other outstanding programs such as "Hands of Love Round", launched by the Trade Union Executive Committee since 2009, which has mobilized nearly 12 billion VND to support 235 workers with serious illnesses... Or the program "Chang Shin Family Support Council" is an initiative of the Trade Union Executive Committee, established in 2002, which has also supported 421 union members (who are union members of the company's employees) to die with a total amount of over 93 billion VND. Due to the humanitarian nature, nearly 100% of workers registered to participate, even retired workers still registered.
Thanks to practical activities in caring for union members and workers, helping the company maintain stable labor resources in production, Mr. Tu is loved by workers and the Group's leaders when working at the factory, also visiting and encouraging the company's union.
With the journey of more than 30 years, I have always thought about working for workers. My starting point was as a direct manager of workers, so I knew exactly what workers needed, so I could help share. From there, I proposed activities to support workers and their families. Thanks to that, I create a connection between workers and businesses.
