In the program "A day with the soldiers", officers of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) visited the officers and soldiers and learned about the history and heroic traditions of Division 5 through the ages.
Union officials of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also visited and presented gifts (3 million VND and a gift of 500,000 VND) to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Chay; visited and presented gifts (worth 500,000 VND/gift) to 4 military families; presented gifts to 4 families in difficult circumstances (500,000 VND and a gift worth 500,000 VND).
The delegation also sent the 5th Division and 60 gifts (worth 500,000 VND/gift) to the military families and sent the local Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee 35 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) to the families in difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the exchange program, Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - emphasized that the trade union organization and employees of Ho Chi Minh City deeply recognize that the development of each agency, organization, and enterprise is not only based on the foundation of labor, but also requires the strong protection of the Vietnam People's Army.
The "A day with soldiers" program does not only stop at enhancing exchanges and connections but is also an opportunity for the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union to reconsider its responsibility in protecting and caring for workers, union officials and soldiers - those who are always on the front lines.
It is from this practical experience that the City Labor Federation is increasingly aware of the importance of solidarity and cohesion between the union and the soldiers in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
This is part of the coordination program between Division 5, Military Region 7 and the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2025), the 36th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2025) and the 60th anniversary of the 5th Division's Traditional Day (November 23, 1965 - November 23, 2025).
