On July 25, at the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, a conference was held to assess the implementation of propaganda, political, ideological and legal education for workers in the area. Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - chaired the conference.
The conference was also attended by representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province, affiliated grassroots unions and workers in the area.
Focus on propaganda work
According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, as of July 1, 2025, the whole province has 56 affiliated units (including 41 commune and ward unions and 15 affiliated grassroots unions), with 1,044 grassroots unions and 301,891 union members.
In recent times, trade unions at all levels in the province have proactively advised the Party Committee, coordinated with the government and employers to organize timely and complete propaganda and study sessions on resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Party.
The form of propaganda has many innovations, combining traditional methods such as conferences, competitions, seminars, seminars, leaflets... with other flexible methods. The work of grasping and orienting the thoughts, thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers is carried out regularly, which is the basis for timely advice and resolution of arising issues.
In addition, trade unions at all levels also organize surprise dialogues when there are hot issues, surveys on the employment situation, life, level of satisfaction with policies and trade union activities. Thanks to that, many recommendations and feedback from workers were resolved promptly, contributing to stabilizing labor relations in enterprises.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ngo The Anh - Head of the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Department, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province - shared practical experiences from his time as Chairman of the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province (now dissolved).
To effectively propagate, we have to develop a plan, choose the time, contact the business and workers to choose the most suitable time frame - avoid when workers are tired after work. In addition, it is possible to organize competitions such as "Ring the Golden bell", "Workers' Cultural Corner" ... thereby integrating legal knowledge and policies close to workers" - Mr. The Anh said.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Quang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that the unit is always proactive in propaganda work, organizing dialogues between businesses and employees to promptly resolve proposals and obstacles in the regime and policies.
Need to propagate the right workers in need
At the conference, many workers working at enterprises expressed their opinions and aspirations. According to them, the content of the propaganda should focus on related issues such as salary, procedures, welfare regimes, shift meals, overtime, social insurance, etc. These are practical contents that help workers easily access and remember.
Recognizing the opinions, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized: The work of propagating and educating about politics and law to workers needs to be practical, close to practical needs.
"Among many propaganda contents, we must choose what workers really need to convey. Only then can we promote efficiency, helping workers grasp the core of the issues they are interested in" - Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said.
According to Mr. Hieu, from the opinions collected at the conference, the working group will synthesize, report and propose appropriate solutions and orientations to improve the effectiveness of propaganda, political education, ideology and law to workers and businesses in the coming time.
