On the evening of August 15, in Hanoi, Lao Dong Newspaper held a Ceremony to honor Outstanding Enterprises for Workers in 2025.
Speaking at the program, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh emphasized that after 11 years of organization, the "Outstanding Enterprise Award for Workers" has become a prestigious award, recognizing businesses with good welfare policies, caring care for workers, and affirming their commitment to sustainable development, social responsibility and responsibility to the community.
Thereby, a new emulation movement has been built and formed in the business community - competing to care for workers.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that with a total of only about 27% of the total workforce, the Vietnamese working class has created over 65% of the value of the total social product, contributing more than 70% to the annual State budget.
In the process of developing and planning policies, the National Assembly always puts workers and enterprises at the center, has issued and amended many important laws such as the Labor Code, the Trade Union Law, the Employment Law, the Labor Safety and Hygiene Law, the Social Insurance Law, the Housing Law, etc.; at the same time, closely monitor the implementation of policies on wages, insurance, and labor safety.
An important milestone when the 15th National Assembly recently passed the Resolution amending the 2013 Constitution. The new Constitution continues to affirm the legal status of the Trade Union as an organization representing and protecting the rights of workers, while expanding the right to participate in policy making and supervision, enhancing the role in social dialogue, collective bargaining, resolving labor disputes, determining the representative role of workers at the national level in labor relations and international relations with trade unions.
This is a strong message of the National Assembly, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to the working class, laborers and the cooperative relationship between State - Trade Union - Enterprise.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly assessed that for businesses, workers are always assets and valuable sources of capital for businesses. Caring for, protecting and creating welfare for workers is to create internal strength of the enterprise, so that the enterprise can realize all its plans, dreams, visions, missions, and the strength of the enterprise.
Workers are the ones who realize the missions and vision of the business, thus becoming a decisive factor for the success of the business, so caring for workers is an inevitable requirement.
However, more than that, caring for workers is not only a legal responsibility stemming from the need for business development, but it is also a social responsibility, business ethics and also comes from humane feelings. To take good care of workers requires close coordination between the parties in labor relations and the resonance of many factors.
The National Assembly supports and encourages pioneering enterprises in linking production and business to improve the lives of workers; Encourages dialogue and collective bargaining mechanisms; Trade unions coordinate with enterprises to implement welfare, housing, health care, vocational training, improve skills, towards sustainable development of workers, enterprises, and the country.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that the Politburo has issued 4 Resolutions that are considered pillars for the country's development in the new era - the era of rising up.
In which innovation, science and technology and digital transformation are identified as the keys to opening the door to help us develop quickly, sustainably and move forward in the world in the process of integration. Rapid development is a necessary condition but must ensure that the sustainable goal is a sufficient condition, so that no one is left behind in the development process, so that both businesses and workers can enjoy the fruits of that development process, associated with building and ensuring harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
That is an inseparable right relationship, workers are indispensable to businesses and businesses cannot be separated from workers, along with the accompanying and supporting role of the Trade Union organization and state management agencies.
In the context and in response to the above requirements, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh suggested:
The business community continues to replicate the model of caring for workers; improving the quality of human resources; promoting digital transformation, innovation; developing a green economy, circular economy, social responsibility and transparent governance.
The Trade Union organization innovates the content and methods of operation; represents and protects workers more effectively; maximizes power according to the new Constitution.
Legislative and executive agencies coordinate to perfect the law on labor - trade unions - enterprises, ensuring the harmony of interests of the State, enterprises and workers.
Workers are constantly innovating, creative, enthusiastic about working, producing, contributing to the success of enterprises, contributing to the development of the country.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh wished the "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers" Award to continue spreading the spirit of "Enterprise for Workers - Workers for Enterprises" so that businesses can continuously pay attention to taking care of workers - capital and valuable assets for sustainable business development.
At the same time, it continues to affirm that this is the spirit that the National Assembly, the Government, ministries and the whole society are striving to foster for the ultimate goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
Previously, at the program, the Organizing Committee honored 28 most typical enterprises that have made many contributions to improving the working environment, caring for workers' lives, and enhancing welfare for workers.
