Participating in the high-level Vietnamese delegation officially visiting Mongolia, Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour - visited the headquarters and worked with leaders of the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour on the afternoon of September 10, 2026.
The working session aims to concretize the orientations for promoting cooperative relations exchanged and agreed upon by the leaders of the trade union organizations of the two countries during the visit to Vietnam of the delegation of the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour led by Chairman Enkhbaatar Tamir in April 2026.
After 20 years of building and consolidating the relationship of solidarity, friendship and cooperation, the Vietnam Trade Union and the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour have regularly maintained delegation exchanges and contacts between leaders of the two organizations; sharing information and experiences in trade union activities; and at the same time supporting and consulting each other at international trade union forums.
The cooperative relationship between the two organizations has gradually expanded, not only at the central level but also between industry and local trade unions and educational and training institutions under the Trade Union organization. Thereby, contributing to improving efficiency and enriching exchange and cooperation channels between the labor movement and trade unions of the two countries.
At the working session, highly appreciating the role and position of the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour in the economic, political, and social life of the country, Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan wished that the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam Trade Union and the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour would continue to be expanded in a practical and effective direction, creating specific results.
Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan proposed that the two sides coordinate to study the possibility of building and signing a bilateral cooperation agreement. The agreement needs to clearly define the goals, areas of cooperation, contents for implementation and deadlines, thereby creating a basis for the cooperative relationship between the two organizations to become increasingly in-depth. In the immediate future, the two sides will support and create conditions for six industry and local trade unions of the two countries to connect and strengthen cooperation and exchange activities, contributing to improving the capacity to represent, care for, and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the working session, leaders of the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour welcomed the initiatives and proposals of comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan and affirmed that they would assign focal points to coordinate to realize the contents agreed upon by the two sides.
According to the leaders of the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour, the trade union organizations of the two countries have many common concerns and priorities in trade union activities, especially in developing union members, collective bargaining, social dialogue, ensuring employment, improving social security and welfare policies for workers. On that basis, the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour proposed that in the coming time, the trade unions of the two countries continue to strengthen dialogue, exchange information and share operating experiences.
The two sides also agreed that strengthening cooperation will not only contribute to consolidating the friendly and solidarity relationship between the Vietnam Trade Union organization and the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour but also create more channels for exchange and connection between workers of the two countries.
Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan's visit and working trip to the Mongolian General Confederation of Labour is a practical activity to promote cooperative relations between trade union organizations of the two countries, and at the same time contribute to the implementation of the Party and State's guidelines and policies on strengthening people-to-people diplomacy, consolidating and developing the Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and Mongolia to a new height.
