More job choices, more income
As an international student returning home from Japan, Pham Thi Tu Chi (from Bim Son, Thanh Hoa) brought an N2 Japanese language certificate in her Hanoi ear application.
After a one-on-one survey, Chi submitted documents to 3 units: 1 labor export center; 1 enterprise specializing in purchasing and supplying food ingredients and drinks for Japanese toothpaste; 1 Japanese language training center.
After balancing working conditions, income, incentives, etc., Chi decided to work for a Japanese language training center.
"I have a total income from salary, classroom allowances, etc. of about 26 million VND/month. This recruitment period has more than 10 staff working with me, mainly language teachers, but my salary is almost the highest. The center's leaders highly appreciate the N2 Japanese language certificate, especially the preferential recruitment of international students because 40% of students at the center are candidates who will go to Japan to work. Not only at the center, the places I applied for were very sympathetic and added points to this N2 certificate, Chi said.
Also "popular" by employers because he has a college certificate, Mr. Tran Tuan Tu has a much higher income than his colleagues when working at a phone warranty and repair center.
Mr. Tu said that when he applied for the job, he submitted a college degree from a prestigious vocational school in Cau Giay district, Hanoi. With solid skills, Mr. Tu has a salary of 14 million VND/month, compared to the general level of about 10 million VND/month of his colleagues who only have pure experience in repairing phones through stores and centers.

I have been working for 5 years and understand the value of the degree I have studied. For the labor market, each segment requires a different type of certificate. With jobs that require high practice, in addition to experience, degrees are also of great interest. In the 2 places I have worked in, workers with certificates and degrees are often considered to be group leaders and team leaders very quickly, Mr. Tu shared.
Prioritizing training candidates
Ms. Pham Thi Thu Trang - Head of Human Resources Department of Hoang Ha Civil Construction and Trading Company Limited (Dong Da District, Hanoi) said that her company always prioritizes recruiting trained and certified personnel.
In all work positions, from construction management to construction workers, we prioritize recruiting trained personnel. Along with respecting and retaining long-time and experienced employees, we always highly appreciate and especially give incentives to trained personnel. During the same recruitment period, graduates always have a minimum income of 20% higher than those without, said Ms. Trang.
According to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in 2024, the proportion of trained workers will account for 68.7%, of which the proportion of workers with degrees and certificates will reach 28.1%.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong - former Director of the Institute of Social Labor Science (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) commented that the labor market will flourish due to economic development and increased investment capital from foreign enterprises. Accordingly, the demand for labor recruitment has also increased. 2025 is a year with many socio-economic advantages for the labor market to continue to develop positively, many industries and fields create many jobs and attract many workers, including industries related to infrastructure, export production, AI technology, digital transformation, robots, information security and network security, accounting, service industries, maintenance, machinery operation, etc.
"In 2025, there will be many job opportunities but in the group that requires high technical expertise. Workers who want job opportunities must meet the needs of businesses, have skills, and have technical expertise..., Ms. Huong said.
