Taking the spirit of International Labor Day as a driving force
In Vietnam, the first International Labor Day (May 1) was held in 1930.
In the development process of the revolution, the Party, the State and our people always pay attention and take special care to the working class, workers (employees) and trade union organizations. The working class is growing stronger, always an energetic force in the renovation process, contributing to creating initial achievements, maintaining political, defense - security stability and maintaining production development; Determined to innovate, access to new economic organizations, new modern technology, and the country integrate deeply into the world economy.
The Bac Lieu Provincial Federation of Labor has directed all levels of the province's Trade Unions to focus on deploying and mobilizing union members, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) together with grassroots trade unions (CDCS) to advise the Party committees and authorities at the same level to effectively implement the emulation movement "Connecting to serve the cause of industrialization and modernization of agriculture - rural areas" as one of the important factors to create breakthroughs.
Of nearly 100 projects and scientific research topics, most have contributed to increasing the application of new scientific and technical advances in production. Typically, initiatives that save costs, time, effort, increase labor productivity of workers and laborers in some trade unions such as: Duong Hung Seafood Seed One Member Co., Ltd., Southern Shrimp Joint Stock Company Trade Union, Bac Lieu Urban Service Center Trade Union... have saved billions of VND.
Building an increasingly strong working class
Trade unions at all levels in the province have promoted and mobilized employees to always proactively study, practice, and take the lead in the necessary skills for a smart and industrialized economy. Each individual employee must strive to overcome themselves, first of all change their thinking and agricultural practices, then self-study, self- equip knowledge and skills to meet new development requirements.
In order to spread the emulation movement among cadres, civil servants and workers, in recent years, Trade Unions at all levels have proactively coordinated closely with the government to organize and launch a patriotic emulation movement among employees, thereby appearing and increasingly replicating practical movements such as: "Good worker", "Creative worker"; the movement "Good at public work, good at housework"; the movement "connecting to serve agriculture - developing rural areas in a sustainable direction". In the production and business sector, there are outstanding movements such as: "Promoting initiatives, improving techniques", "Skilled learning, competing for good workers", "Good production - business, good management", "Each engineer has a theme, each union group has an initiative"; "Green, clean, beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"...
Mr. Huynh Nguyen Truc Linh - Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu Labor Federation - suggested that trade unions at all levels and officials in the province continue to make efforts and strive to create a lively emulation movement, effectively implement the Resolution of the 12th and XII Party Central Conference on "Continuing to build the Vietnamese working class at the time of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country"; Contributing to building Bac Lieu to become a good province in the region, firmly and the whole country entered the era of the nation.
In the past 5 years, the team of employees in Bac Lieu province has implemented over 270 works, products, scientific research to serve production, cultivation, health care for people, good teaching - good learning...; there are over 27230 initiatives and technical improvement topics, of which 89 topics and initiatives won prizes at technical innovation contests.
