On the morning of April 28, the People's Council of Bac Lieu province, term X, 2021 - 2026, held the 25th Session to review and decide on a number of important contents, including the arrangement of the administrative apparatus, merging Bac Lieu province with Ca Mau province.
At the meeting, delegates reviewed and unanimously voted to approve the resolutions approving the policy of reorganizing commune-level administrative units in Bac Lieu province in 2025; Resolution approving the policy of reorganizing Bac Lieu province and Ca Mau province.
According to the project to reorganize commune-level administrative units, Bac Lieu province will reorganize 64 communes, wards and towns to 20 communes and 5 wards.
The policy of merging Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces into Ca Mau province, the administrative center in Ca Mau province was also approved by delegates.
At this session, many other important Resolutions were also passed.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Lu Van Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council - highly appreciated the preparation of the meeting, as well as the spirit and responsibility of the delegates, contributing to the meeting to complete the content and program set out.
The Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee assessed that by 2025 is an important year because it is the end of the term of the provincial Party Congress term for the 2020-2025 term, suggesting all levels, sectors, fronts and socio -political organizations to make efforts to achieve and exceed the set goals, especially the year's socio -economic targets as well as the term of the province. At the same time, focusing on inspection and timely removal of problems and difficulties from the establishment in order to well implement the policy of arranging and streamlining the central and local apparatus, fulfilling the set goals.
After the meeting, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Committees and delegates of the provincial People's Council strengthened the supervision of the implementation of the Resolution of the People's Council issued.
The Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee emphasized that not because of the arrangement of commune-level administrative units and the merger of provinces, but because of the disturbance of socio-economic development goals.
