On December 31, the Long An Provincial Industrial Parks (IPs) Trade Union held a conference to review the workers' movement and union activities in 2024.
In 2024, the Long An Industrial Parks Trade Union focused on implementing many solutions, achieving and exceeding most of the targets assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor. The work of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers was well performed.
The Long An Industrial Parks Trade Union has organized many practical activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, Workers' Month, the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, cases of sudden difficulties, ... with nearly 40,000 gifts, total cost of nearly 20 billion VND.
During the year, the Long An Industrial Parks Trade Union and 26 Trade Unions successfully organized the "Union Meal" on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union with the participation of 34,440 employees, the total implementation cost was more than 1.8 billion VND, contributing to creating solidarity between union members and employees with the Trade Union organization and enterprises, thereby improving the quality of shift meals for employees.
During the year, the Long An Industrial Parks Trade Union established 54 new grassroots trade unions, reducing 18 grassroots trade unions due to business suspension, and actually increasing 36 grassroots trade unions/12 grassroots trade unions (reaching 300% of the assigned target). The actual union membership development increased by 13,492. Currently, the Long An Industrial Parks Trade Union has 701 grassroots trade unions with 144,705 union members out of a total of 151,935 employees.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Van Qui requested the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union to continue to strengthen the work of grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers. Regularly pay attention to and monitor the situation of labor relations, policies, especially wages and bonuses on the occasion of Tet; participate well in the concentrated activities of the Provincial Federation of Labor to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 and well implement activities to care for union members and workers; focus on the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions;...
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag of the Provincial Federation of Labor to 4 collectives and Certificates of Merit of the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union to 125 other collectives.
