On February 9th, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a meeting of trade union officials from various periods on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
The activity is an opportunity for generations of City Trade Union officials to meet, review glorious traditions, share experiences and further strengthen the solidarity and affection of Trade Unions with each other.
According to a report by the Can Tho City Labor Federation, in 2025, the city proactively implemented job and vocational counseling for more than 16,000 people. In which, successfully introduced jobs for thousands of domestic and foreign workers.
The average salary of employees reached 8.3 million VND/month. The positive point is that the income gap between industries (food, construction, services...) is not too large, only fluctuating from 5 - 15%. During the Lunar New Year At Ty, most businesses have well implemented salary, bonus and welfare policies, helping employees have a warm holiday with their families.
During the year, the City Labor Federation has well performed its role as a "backing point" by harmoniously combining practical material support and building a methodical dialogue mechanism, helping to stabilize labor relations and ensure the rights of workers.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Van Chinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City - acknowledged the great contributions of Trade Union officials through various periods.
At the same time, it is proposed that trade union levels continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation; pay attention to caring for the material and spiritual life of workers, especially brothers and sisters in particularly difficult circumstances, workers in industrial parks; replicate sustainable welfare models such as "0-dong booths", "Union member welfare",...
At the conference, Trade Union officials from all periods exchanged, shared experiences and contributed many opinions to make Trade Union activities in the coming time better and better.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City commended many individuals with outstanding achievements in Front work in 2025.
