The project to build a workers' housing project of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company, under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) is located on the land of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company and is located near office 2 as well as the coal mining site of this company, in Ha Tu ward, Quang Ninh province.
The total area of the project is nearly 5,500 m2, of which the construction area is nearly 1,800 m2. The project is designed in a modern way, including 1 basement, 11 upper floors with 389 rooms in closed rooms, 4 shared living spaces to ensure adequate essential living facilities, a safe, clean and civilized living environment for hundreds of workers.
Each apartment is 24.7m2 wide, arranged for 2 miners.
According to Mr. Doan Dac Tho - Director of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company - the goal of the project is to create a place for rest and living for underground workers from other provinces and cities to work and work at the Company, contributing to improving the quality of life, material and spiritual life of mine workers along with the common development of the coal industry in particular and Quang Ninh province in general.
This is considered one of the most modern collective houses for workers and laborers of TKV today.
The project includes 2 elevators and 3 elevators, including 2 fire elevators, used for fire fighting combined with passenger transport and cargo, with a load capacity of 1,350 kg, speed of 1.5m/s, 12 stops; 1 elevator with a load capacity of 750 kg, 12 stops, speed of 1.5m/s.
The project will also be installed with internet connection systems, Lan networks; surveillance camera systems; Public sound systems, incident reporting...
The fire prevention and fighting system of the project includes an automatic fire alarm system; Incident lighting system; sound notification system; Automatic fire fighting system; Fire fighting system using wall water; smoke increase and inhibition system and fire extinguisher.
It is expected that the project will be put into use by the end of 2027.
Currently, in order to create conditions for underground workers to have accommodation and activities after work, while waiting to build a new apartment building for workers, Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company has rented and renovated the 7-storey building of the Coal - Mineral College into a apartment building to serve the food, accommodation and living needs of over 300 underground workers and trainees. Each room is arranged for 4 people with equipment to meet living needs.
Meanwhile, this company currently has over 3,300 employees, of which the number of ethnic minority workers in the Northwestern provinces working at the construction sites and workshops in the company is about 920 people.
