On September 18, the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) of Cao Bang province informed about the organization of working sessions and considering the recommendations of union members and workers at Cao Bang Hydropower - Metallurgy Joint Stock Company.
Previously, the Provincial Labor Federation had worked with representatives of the Company, grassroots Trade Unions and specialized agencies to exchange, inspect information and assess the actual situation related to the workers' recommendations.
At the working session, the grassroots Trade Union reported on the situation of union members and workers and the process of receiving and reflecting recommendations. The business side informed about production and business activities and the difficulties they are facing.
According to the Company's report, the business is being affected by objective changes related to electricity production, business and consumption.
Revenue decreased sharply while still having to maintain factory operating costs, fulfill financial obligations, ensure jobs and regimes for employees.
The Labor Federation of Cao Bang province requested businesses to continue reviewing the proposed contents, coordinate with grassroots trade unions to organize dialogues, provide complete information to workers; and at the same time study solutions to reduce costs, prioritize maintaining jobs and ensure regimes and policies.
Grassroots trade unions are required to continue to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members, promote their representative role and coordinate with businesses to find appropriate solutions.
The Provincial Labor Federation said it will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to monitor, support and supervise the settlement process, contributing to stabilizing production, employment and labor relations at enterprises.
