On September 23, the People's Police Trade Union (CAND) visited and presented gifts to lonely elderly people, orphans and cases in difficult circumstances being cared for at Social Protection Center 3 (Hanoi City).
The program was attended by Colonel Cong Thanh Thao - Head of the People's Public Security Trade Union.
Speaking at the program, Colonel Cong Thanh Thao said that through programs such as "Trade Union Shelter", "Trade Union Adoption", "Waves and Computers for Children" and many other care and support activities, the People's Public Security Trade Union has mobilized officials, union members, workers and businesses and units to join hands to support those in difficult circumstances.
What we aim for is not only to give a gift, support a specific circumstance at a specific time, but more importantly, to promote the role of the trade union organization in connecting hearts, mobilizing social resources and organizing activities to care for the right needs, the right people, practically and sustainably," Colonel Cong Thanh Thao said.
At the program, the People's Public Security Trade Union and accompanying units donated resources to build safety net systems, reading rooms; organized the program "Trade Union Meal - welcoming Mid-Autumn Moon" and presented gifts to lonely elderly people and orphans at Social Protection Center No. 3; total value of 200 million VND.
According to the People's Public Security Trade Union, the program to visit, give gifts, and encourage the spirit of lonely elderly people and orphans at Social Protection Center No. 3, Hanoi City on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival aims to contribute to spreading the spirit of mutual affection, social responsibility and portraying the beauty of union members and workers in the People's Public Security Forces.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity for each CAND official, union member, and worker to show responsibility to the community through practical actions, contributing to embellishing the image of responsible, affectionate, close to the people and for the community CAND Trade Union officials and union members.
