Over 8.4 billion VND to take care of union members
On the afternoon of October 25, the Trade Union of Hyundai - Vietnam Shipbuilding Company Limited (HVS) held the 8th Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
In the 2023 - 2025 term, the HVS Trade Union completed 9/10 targets set by the congress resolution. The Trade Union has closely coordinated with the Company's leaders in ensuring jobs, income, negotiating salary increases and annual bonuses for employees.
Specifically, in 2024, HVS increased basic salary by 9% with a performance bonus of 21.5 million VND/person; in 2025, increased basic salary by 10%, with a performance bonus of 23.5 million VND/person.
The HVS Trade Union also practically cares for union members, supporting more than 1,500 cases of illness and difficulties with a total amount of over 800 million VND.
The union also organizes gift giving and support for union members during Tet, Union Meals, Workers' Month, Occupational Safety and Hygiene Month and cultural and sports activities with a total budget of more than 8.4 billion VND.
In addition, the Trade Union coordinated with the Company to organize vocational training for 414 people, improve skills for 520 people, train soft skills for 1,218 people and 2 Skilled Workers' Competitions with a total cost of 1.65 billion VND.
Caring for the material and spiritual life of workers
The 2025-2030 term HVS Trade Union Congress requires caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers; organizing and encouraging emulation movements for good workers and creative workers, associated with improving productivity and product quality, meeting market requirements in the new era.

Mr. Kim Song Hag, General Director of the Company shared, I sincerely hope that HVS and the union will continue to develop together.
In the context of the global shipping industry competing fiercely, only when we are in the same spirit of solidarity and cooperation can we protect and develop the HVS common roof.

The company representative also pledged to work with the union to build a working environment in which all workers feel proud.
The Congress approved the term-wide target of the grassroots trade union completing its tasks excellently. Every year, strive to complete 7 targets, notably admitting 100% of newly recruited workers to the union, maintaining a union membership rate of over 99%.
Strive to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements with 1-2 conditions higher than those prescribed by law; organize at least 1 cultural and sports event...
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Tran Ba Thanh, Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (TCT) emphasized that in the context of extensive integration that requires strong transformation of the shipbuilding industry, HVS Trade Union promotes digital application transformation, builds activities to benefit union members.
Mr. Thanh hopes that the new Executive Board of HVS will continue to unite, bringing the workers' movement and HVS Trade Union activities to sustainable development.
Thereby, contributing positively to the overall development of the Vietnamese shipbuilding industry.
At the first conference, the Executive Committee of the HVS Trade Union elected Mr. Le Van Toan, Deputy General Director, to be re-elected as Chairman of the HVS Company Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.
