Promoting the development of union members
Before the merger, the Da Nang City and Quang Nam Provincial Labor Federations managed 3,382 grassroots unions and grassroots unions with 407,936 union members.
After the merger from July 1, 2025, the new Da Nang City Labor Federation was established and the Central Resolution on ending trade union organization activities in administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of salaries from the state budget was implemented. As of October 31, 2025, the Da Nang City Labor Federation manages 1,767 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions, with 216,707 union members.
At the first Da Nang Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030 took place on December 12 and 13, one of the key tasks set by the Da Nang City Labor Federation in the new term is to promote the development of union members and establish grassroots unions.
At the same time, innovate the content and methods of operation, build a strong Trade Union organization; improve the quality of the trade union staff, participate in building a clean and strong Party and government.
Specifically, the Da Nang City Labor Federation focuses on developing new union members, establishing grassroots unions in the non-state sector, striving to increase the actual term of at least 120,000 union members.
Improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities, innovate the content of union activities and activities, and apply digital transformation in union member management.
Innovation in content and form of activities, gathering union members in the informal sector, increasing gathering union members in the private sector (small and micro enterprises). Pay attention to training and introducing outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admit.
Trade unions at all levels operate in a streamlined manner, with clear functions, tasks, and powers, and effective and efficient operations.
Taking the trust of employees as an evaluation criterion
In the new term, the Da Nang City Labor Federation aims to build a team of professional union officials with professional qualifications, intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility, prestige, and dialogue capacity, leading, inspiring, gathering, and uniting workers.
Have in-depth knowledge of trade union theory and practice, labor relations, law, finance, and promptly support grassroots trade unions to resolve problems, difficulties, or hot spots in labor relations in the city.
Continue to innovate content and methods, diversify training and fostering union officials according to positions, link theory with practice, and supplement skills to handle situations arising in practice. Organize training, fostering, and digital skills training for union officials.
Complete the work of evaluating and classifying the quality of activities of trade unions at all levels, focusing on the results of implementing key tasks of each trade union level.
Promote the role of union members in building a strong Trade Union organization; participate in contributing ideas, building and implementing the policies, regulations and programs of the Trade Union organization.
Continue to arrange and perfect the organization of the union apparatus to operate effectively, efficiently and efficiently; build and perfect job positions in accordance with the 2-level local government model; perfect the regulations on functions and tasks of trade unions at all levels, especially commune and ward trade unions.

In particular, the Da Nang City Labor Federation continues to strengthen people's foreign affairs, promote friendly and solidarity with the Gyeongnam Provincial Trade Union Federation (Korea), Masan Branch Trade Union Federation (Korea), Son Dong Provincial Trade Union (China), and the Mekong Provincial Trade Union Federation (Laos) under the foreign affairs program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, contributing to enhancing the position and prestige of the Vietnam Trade Union in the workers' movement and international trade union activities.
