On March 8, the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized the presentation of many meaningful gifts to female union members and workers.
Specifically, the Da Nang City Labor Federation awarded 20 "Trade Union Homes", 200 gifts for female union members in difficult circumstances and a symbolic sign to support the construction of 10 "Great Solidarity Houses" for the people of Phuoc Tra commune, Da Nang city.
These practical activities continue to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, while spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community.
On this occasion, the Da Nang City Labor Federation launched a movement to mobilize trade union members to join hands to build 10 "Great Solidarity Houses" for poor households in Phuoc Tra commune - a twin locality of the City Labor Federation.
The total estimated cost of the program is 1.25 billion VND, mobilized from voluntary contributions of trade union members with a minimum level of 10,000 VND/person, suitable for the conditions of each unit.
The activity has profound humanistic meaning, contributing to supporting difficult households to stabilize their lives and gradually improve the quality of life of local people.
Great Solidarity House" is a program launched and implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels. "Trade Union Home" is a traditional program of the Trade Union organization, maintained by the Da Nang City Labor Federation for many years.
The program is implemented from the Trade Union Social Activity Fund, for union members in housing difficulties. In which, union members building houses are supported with 50 million VND, and house repairs are supported with 20 million VND.
This is truly a humanitarian program of the Trade Union organization, making a great contribution to social security work in Da Nang city.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: In 2026, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will provide support for the construction and repair of 60 "Trade Union Shelter" houses for union members and city workers facing housing difficulties.
Previously in 2025, the Da Nang City Labor Federation awarded 93 Trade Union Solidarity Houses, with funding of more than 3 billion VND to help union members solve their housing needs and stabilize their lives.
