Reporting at the first Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Mr. Le Van Dai, Permanent Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: In the new term, the Da Nang Trade Union will focus resources, better perform the task of representing, caring for, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers
Organize research activities, participate in giving comments on amending and supplementing the Law and policies related to workers, especially policies and laws on labor, employment, wages, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational safety and hygiene, housing, kindergartens and cultural institutions serving union members and workers.
Proactively advise and coordinate with the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council to periodically meet, listen and dialogue with union members and workers.
Affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in key social supervision and criticism activities is policies and laws directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.
Strengthen the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations. Improve the quantity, quality, and effectiveness of dialogue, collective bargaining, signing, and implementing collective labor agreements with contents that are more beneficial to union members and workers than those prescribed by law.
Every year, evaluate and classify the quality of collective labor agreements to promptly find solutions for C and D-class agreements. Strengthen the role of the City Labor Federation, Commune and Ward Trade Unions in supporting, consulting, and accompanying grassroots trade unions from the time of negotiation to the signing of the collective labor agreement.
Strengthen training and fostering cadres working as union legal consultants, ensuring that each grassroots union has at least one cadre with legal expertise or experience, knowledge of labor law, and is ready to support and authorize participation in litigation in court to protect the legitimate rights of workers when required.
Every year, organize an in-depth training course on negotiation skills, handling labor disputes, organizing dialogues for grassroots union officials; skills to participate in developing, reviewing, and supervising policy implementation for full-time union officials.
Building and repairing 300 "Union Shelters"
According to Mr. Le Van Dai, in the new term, the Da Nang Trade Union will focus on advising, mobilizing resources, implementing investment in building institutions to serve union members and workers in industrial parks and implementing the Project to build housing for workers in industrial parks issued by the City People's Committee.
Actively advise on support policies for people and businesses to build houses, kindergartens, workers' supermarkets, cultural and sports areas... to serve workers.
Research and propose the development of a set of standards for workers' dormitories as a basis and basis when the authorities grant a license to build dormitories, ensuring living conditions for workers in dormitories.
Ensure social security rights and effectively implement the goal of "Ensuring benefits, better welfare" for union members and workers. Specifically sign the "Union member welfare" program, and continue to implement it with other partners in the area to bring many preferential benefits, develop practical benefits, create Union Welfare", "Improve the quality of shift meals"....
Improve the effectiveness of use, management, and development of capital sources from the City's Fund for Supporting Poor Workers and Civil Servants, the National Employment Fund, and capital entrusted by the City People's Committee through the Social Policy Bank for workers and civil servants in difficult circumstances to borrow capital to develop the family economy, contributing to preventing and combating "black credit" among union members and workers.
Strive to support the construction and repair of 300 "Union Shelters" by the end of the term. Taking care of housing for workers is identified as a priority content; promoting the construction of housing for workers and laborers renting from union financial resources in industrial parks and export processing zones, striving to complete the set tasks.
