Company pays less insurance for employees
On March 9, the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation is supporting workers to sue the People's Court of Region 1 - Dong Nai, requesting the Court to resolve and force G.G Co., Ltd. (address in Phuoc Tan ward, Dong Nai province) to pay insurance for workers for the remaining time.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (49 years old, residing in Phuoc Tan ward, Dong Nai province) said: From August 2014, he was recruited to work for G.G Co., Ltd. During the working process, Mr. Dung and the company had an indefinite-term labor contract. On October 1, 2024, based on Mr. Dung's resignation letter, the company issued a decision to dismiss him.
However, Mr. Dung said that during his time working at the company, every month the company deducted salary to participate in insurance types according to regulations including: Social insurance 8%, Health insurance 1.5% and Unemployment insurance 1%. After quitting his job, Mr. Dung contacted the company to request the company to close the social insurance checkpoint, but the company did not resolve it. After that, Mr. Dung checked the time of social insurance participation and compared it with the separate social insurance book that the company had returned, and learned that from May 2024 to September 2024, the company had not paid social insurance for him according to the provisions of law. Mr. Dung filed a lawsuit with the People's Court of Region 1 - Dong Nai, requesting the Court to resolve it.
Similarly, Mr. Dinh Van Nhan (55 years old, residing in Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province) also said that through checking the social insurance participation time and comparing it with the social insurance book return that the company has returned, Mr. Nhan learned that from February 2024 to September 2024, the company only paid unemployment insurance, has not paid social insurance, and has not confirmed the entire social insurance participation process for Mr. Nhan. "I have contacted the company many times to request social insurance contribution and confirmation of my social insurance participation process, and at the same time pay me the remaining salary, but the company has not resolved it" - Mr. Nhan added.
Therefore, Mr. Nhan sent a petition to functional agencies, requesting G.G Co., Ltd. to pay social insurance for him from February 2024 to September 2024, confirming the insurance contribution period according to legal regulations. In addition, he also requested the company to pay 1/2 of the monthly salary of September 2024 (nearly 2.5 million VND).
Not paying insurance, workers' rights are affected
Regarding the case, currently the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation is coordinating to support more than 20 workers with procedures to ensure the legitimate and lawful rights of workers.

Previously, in 2024, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters reflected on the fact that G.G Co., Ltd. owed salaries and social insurance for many months to employees. At that time, employees said that life was very difficult, they had to live in rented rooms, so they wanted the company to pay salaries to workers as well as pay insurance so that their rights were not affected. After the reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper, the company announced the payment of salaries to employees. However, so far, many employees have not "finalized" social insurance.
