Speaking at the congress, Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong - Chairman of the 16th Vietnam Railway Trade Union emphasized that in the period 2023-2025, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union has closely followed the motto "Innovation - Responsibility - Democracy - Solidarity - Development", implementing the Resolution of the 16th Congress with many clear results. In addition, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union needs to continue to perform well the task of representing and caring for the protection of workers' rights in the new context, in which the trade union must participate and have a voice in forming principles and viewpoints on the new management model of the corporation; participate in building new organizational models, industry structure, industry restructuring and especially using human resources; promote collective dialogue and negotiation.

Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized that the Vietnam Railway Trade Union needs to participate in improving the quality of human resources, in which it is necessary to propagate and raise awareness for union members and workers to study and improve their qualifications in the face of new requirements, especially regarding working style. According to Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, through trade union activities, it will contribute to training human resources and participating in building corporate culture. The Trade Union needs to include in the agreement the content of training to improve the qualifications of officials; promote for union members and workers the habit of applying science and technology and digital transformation.

The Congress unanimously agreed that the number of members of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union XVII term, term 2025-2030 is 27 comrades. At the congress, 26 comrades were elected to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union XVII term.
At the first Conference of the Executive Committee of the 17th Vietnam Railway Trade Union, term 2025-2030, 7 comrades were elected to participate in the Standing Committee; Mr. Ha Trong Thang was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the 17th Vietnam Railway Trade Union.
