The Vietnam Railway Trade Union (VTC) manages 96 grassroots unions, more than 24,000 union members.
Closely following the theme of Workers' Month 2025 "Vietnamese workers pioneering in entering a new era" and the Month of Action on occupational safety and health "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace"... Vietnam Construction Trade Union coordinated to organize many activities to care for the lives and improve working conditions for workers. Specifically, 6 working groups including representatives of the Party leadership, the Board of Members, the Board of Directors, the Trade Union, the Youth Union and the Advisory Committees inspected, visited and encouraged workers on railway lines. The working groups presented support with many equipment to improve working and living conditions and visit workers in disadvantaged areas such as: Rung La (Binh Thuan), Deo Ca, Deo Hai Van, Khe Net, Bac Thuy slope, Hanoi - Dong Dang route, Western railway line...
In particular, the operation of the solar power system to light up 3 railway tunnels in the Deo Ca area is a highlight, contributing to improving train safety and labor safety for workers. The Corporation has organized the "Thank you to employees" Program, subsidies for employees in difficult circumstances... The Vietnam Airlines Trade Union organizes a program for nursing and health recovery for employees who have had work accidents and have decreased health; organizes visits and encourages employees and employees; supports equipment to improve working and living conditions for employees. Responding to the Government's program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", the Vietnam Construction Trade Union and its professional staff coordinated to support the construction and repair of 09 houses for workers; support the construction of 3 houses of gratitude for the people of Quang Tri province; units contributed to support the construction of 06 houses for workers. The total budget spent at the industry level for Workers' Month is VND 4.363 billion.
At the grassroots level, the trade union coordinated with professionals to visit more than 2,800 workers in difficulty, serious illnesses and work-related accidents; support, provide, invest, renovate, repair, and improve working conditions for workers in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas with 717 works and equipment with a total cost of 9.04 billion VND.
Trade unions at all levels have coordinated with the professional organization to organize more than 120 cultural and sports activities in the sports and physical training cluster, units with the participation of more than 6,800 union members and employees; organized 41 tours and tours, with 1,440 participants, with a total cost of over 1.5 billion VND.
During the peak month of developing union members, establishing grassroots unions and introducing outstanding union members to the Party, trade unions at all levels in the industry have admitted 129 new union members; 30/37 outstanding union members have been admitted to the Party, and 156 employees have studied to raise awareness of the Party.
Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Trade Union said that from now until the end of 2025, the industry trade union will carry out the work of reorganizing the apparatus in the trade union system according to the guidance and direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Party Committee of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
