According to Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong, on February 25, 1946, in the context of the country just gaining independence, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union was established, marking the formation and important development of the worker movement and trade union activities in the transportation industry.
In the long-term resistance wars of the nation, officials, union members, and workers of the railway industry have "Lived by bridge, by road - Died steadfastly and bravely" on each route, each station, ensuring smooth traffic flow, making an important contribution to the common victory of the country.
In the period of peace, recovery and economic development, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union continues to affirm its core role in the patriotic emulation movement and creative labor, contributing to building and developing the railway industry.
