On the afternoon of August 3, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation organized the closing ceremony of the 2026 Provincial Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Sports Festival.
This is the first provincial-level sports festival organized by Khanh Hoa Trade Union after implementing administrative unit arrangement, gathering more than 350 athletes from 27 teams from grassroots trade unions, ward trade unions, units and businesses in the province.
Athletes compete in 3 sports including men's football, pickleball and tug of war. Throughout 6 days of competition, the matches took place excitingly and attractively with the spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility, attracting a large number of union members and workers to cheer.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Bui Dang Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - said that the sports festival was organized to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, towards the August Revolution and National Day 2/9.
According to Mr. Thanh, the sports festival not only creates a healthy playground for union members and workers to practice health, but is also an opportunity for grassroots trade unions to exchange, learn, and strengthen solidarity.
Through this, contributing to building a team of workers, civil servants, and laborers with health, bravery, and a spirit of dedication, meeting the requirements in the new development stage.
The spirit of solidarity is strength, sports is a bridge. The greatest value of the sports festival lies not only in the medals or championship cups, but also in the close relationships, sharing and spirit of companionship between union members and workers," Mr. Bui Dang Thanh emphasized.
Closing the sports festival, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to collectives with outstanding achievements.
In which, the grassroots Trade Union of Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest State-Owned One-Member Limited Liability Company won the first prize in men's football and tug of war; Tay Nha Trang Ward Trade Union won the first prize in pickleball.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the sports festival continues to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the spiritual life of union members and workers.
At the same time, spreading the movement of physical exercise and sports, building a dynamic working environment, contributing to improving labor productivity and completing tasks well at agencies, units, and businesses in the province.
