Museum project on Soi Sim island, Ha Long Bay unfinished after many years

Quang Ninh - Due to procedural obstacles, the museum on Soi Sim Island, Ha Long Bay is still unfinished and seriously degraded.

Recently, public opinion has been interested in a structure with an exterior made of iron and steel frames located on the top of an island in the middle of Ha Long Bay. The project is expected to be a museum displaying endemic plant species and specimens of the flora and fauna of Ha Long Bay, and also part of the Soi Sim Island, Ha Long Bay, Animal and Plant Reserve Project.

Due to procedural obstacles, the entire project is almost "covered in tarpaulins", although the investor has poured a total of nearly 200 billion VND into the project.

Not only is Soi Sim beach - once nominated as one of the 100 most beautiful beaches in the world - unable to be put into service for tourists, but this museum has also been temporarily suspended for many years.

Not being deployed further or maintained, the museum is increasingly degraded, not only causing economic damage to investment businesses but also wasting the special tourism resources of Ha Long Bay.
