Launching a peak period of care for and supporting union members and workers
On November 6, Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - said that the unit has just issued a plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026.
Accordingly, trade unions at all levels will launch a peak period of care for and support union members and workers, especially at grassroots trade unions - where there are many workers directly involved in production.
Care work focuses on cases in difficult circumstances, affected by natural disasters, serious illnesses, work accidents, job losses, reduced working hours or unpaid wages and bonuses.
In addition, union officials and union members who have to travel far due to organizational arrangement are also supported.
With the motto "all union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet", Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation focuses on implementing three key contents.
In particular, the unit will preside over the organization of the "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" Program, providing essential goods and services at preferential prices, giving vouchers and products for "0 VND".
Along with that are cultural and sports activities, gift giving, legal consultation, health consultation, medicine distribution and motorbike oil exchange for free for union members and workers.
Khanh Hoa province will also participate in the online program "2026 Trade Union Tet Market" implemented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, with more than 4,000 gifts worth VND500,000/gift for union members.
The Provincial Federation of Labor will organize visits, give gifts, and wish a happy New Year in areas with a large concentration of workers in difficult circumstances, with low incomes, affected by natural disasters or working in toxic and dangerous environments.
It is expected that the province will allocate from union financial resources and socialized sources to support 10,540 union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Each case will receive 1 million VND in cash during the Lunar New Year this year.

At the grassroots trade union level, the activity of caring for union members during Tet has many new points. Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - said that the "Tet Sum Vay" program will be held simultaneously at the units.
In particular, this year, there will be an additional activity "Union Year's Meal" for union members and workers on the occasion of Binh Ngo 2026.
Depending on the actual situation of the enterprise, the locality and the number of union members and workers who do not return home for Tet, grassroots unions will organize warm and joyful programs bearing the Union's mark.
In case many union members stay, the units will implement the program "Tet not far from home" or other suitable activities; at the same time, pay attention to visiting, giving gifts, and organizing Tet for workers in boarding houses, construction works, and projects before New Year's Eve.
Grassroots trade unions base on existing resources to proactively decide on subjects and support levels for Tet care for union members and workers.
