Recorded at route DT601, the section passing through Pho Nam residential group, Hai Van ward, Da Nang city, a prolonged subsidence occurred.
Many locations of the road surface are cracked, forming deep ditches, some places have plastic surfaces that are elevated, causing danger to people and vehicles.

According to local people, subsidence began to appear after a prolonged period of heavy rain at the end of October.
Also on this route, many locations of the asphalt surface were peeling, creating deep holes with water after rain, causing difficulties for vehicle operators. Some sections and road surfaces are covered with asphalt, cracked, and the soil and rock layers below are clearly visible.

Many vehicles passing through these sections must slow down or avoid the road in front to avoid collisions, which poses a potential risk of accidents, especially for motorcyclists.

Mr. Nguyen Duy (Hai Van ward, Da Nang city) said: "I often travel on this route, so when I see such a subsidence point, I am very worried. Every day, I mainly travel by car, the sunken road takes up nearly half of the road and is long, making traffic quite dangerous, especially in the evening when visibility is limited.
Many vehicles have to avoid the damaged road surface, which can easily cause collisions if not paying attention. I hope the authorities will soon fix this road section so that people can travel more safely, especially during the rainy and stormy season."

Currently, the locality has stretched ropes and put up warning signs so that traffic participants can proactively observe and move safely.

Speaking to Lao Dong, the leader of Hai Van Ward People's Committee said: "Immediately after the discovery, the local authorities quickly sent forces to inspect, stretch ropes, and erect fences to ensure the safety of people and vehicles".
After completing the temporary measures, Hai Van Ward People's Committee also reported to the Department of Construction. Currently, the Department of Construction has sent staff to survey, assess the extent of damage and propose solutions.
