Khanh Hoa Trade Union continues gratitude with Gac Ma martyrs' families

Khanh Hoa - The Provincial Labor Federation organized incense offering to commemorate heroic martyrs and visited and presented gifts to relatives of Gac Ma martyrs' families.

On July 25, at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area (Cam Lam commune), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a ceremony to offer incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.

In front of the Monument "Those Who Rest at the Horizon" and the wind grave area, delegates respectfully observed a minute of silence, commemorating 64 officers and soldiers of the Navy who bravely sacrificed in the battle to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands on March 14, 1988.

After the incense offering ceremony, the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation divided into two working delegations to visit and present gifts to relatives of four families of martyrs who were officers and soldiers of the Navy who sacrificed in the Gac Ma event, currently living in the province.

At the families of martyr Tran Van Phuong and martyr Dinh Ngoc Doanh (Bac Cam Ranh ward), Mr. Bui Hoai Nam - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation kindly inquired about the health and life of the relatives, and encouraged the families to continue to promote revolutionary traditions.

Ms. Tran Thi Thuy, daughter of martyr Tran Van Phuong, shared that for many years, the Trade Union organization has always accompanied, cared for, and supported the family.

Every occasion on March 14, War Invalids and Martyrs' Day July 27 or the founding day of the Vietnam People's Army December 22, she returns to the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area to burn incense to commemorate her father who fell for sea and island sovereignty.

Moved when welcoming the working delegation to visit, Ms. Do Thi Ha, wife of martyr Dinh Ngoc Doanh - said that she currently often lives in Ho Chi Minh City with her daughter to conveniently take care of each other when she is old and her health has declined. Every anniversary, she returns home to burn incense for her husband and then returns to her daughter.

Ms. Ha expressed her gratitude for the persistent care of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation over the years. According to her, those feelings have become a great source of encouragement, helping martyrs' families alleviate losses, and at the same time connecting the relatives of martyrs with deep affection.

Meanwhile, a working delegation led by Mr. Bui Dang Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - visited the family of martyr Vo Dinh Tuan (Nam Ninh Hoa commune) and the family of martyr Nguyen Mau Phong (Nam Nha Trang ward).

At the families, Mr. Bui Dang Thanh affirmed that the activities "Gratitude", "When drinking water, remember the source" are always regular activities of the Trade Union organization.

Taking care of the relatives of martyrs not only shows the responsibility and morality of the organization but also contributes to educating patriotism, fostering gratitude for generations who sacrificed for the sacred independence and sovereignty of the Fatherland.
