On April 2nd, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to organize a Conference to evaluate the implementation of the Coordination Regulation for the period 2025-2030.
According to the report, the entire economic zone currently has 134 businesses with 189 projects operating, creating jobs for 9,356 workers.
In industrial parks and economic zones, 24 grassroots trade unions with 3,369 union members have been established. From 2025 to now, 7 new grassroots trade unions have been established, 340 union members have been admitted, and 1,157 workers have been developed locally to join the trade union organization.

The coordination between the two units is implemented synchronously, focusing on legal propaganda, raising awareness for workers; guiding businesses to build collective labor agreements, and organizing periodic dialogues.
To date, 10 agreements have been supplemented with clauses that are more beneficial to workers.
Life care work continues to be concerned, with an average meal allowance of 32,000 VND/person, some businesses reach 50,000 VND/person/meal. Legal advice activities are effectively implemented, supporting 127 turns of union members.

In the first quarter of 2026, trade union fee revenue reached more than 4.5 billion VND, reaching over 95% of the assigned target.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that the implementation of the Coordination Regulation has created a clear change in trade union activities in industrial parks and economic zones.
In the coming time, the trade union organization will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, closely follow the reality of businesses, focus on caring for and better protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.

Similarly, Mr. Vuong Trinh Quoc - Head of the Economic Zone Management Board of Lao Cai province - said that the coordination between the two units in the past time has made an important contribution to stabilizing labor relations, limiting disputes, and creating a favorable environment for business development.
At the same time, he affirmed that the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board will continue to accompany and create conditions for trade union organizations to operate more effectively in the coming time.
At the conference, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 10 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Delegates also visited the Kim Thanh International Border Gate area and surveyed the border bridge project to grasp the reality and serve the coordination work in the following months.
