My Phong Ward Trade Union has just held the 1st Trade Union Executive Committee Conference for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending and directing the conference were Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, President of the Provincial Labor Federation (PFF), Ms. Le Thi Be Phuong - Party Committee Secretary - President of the People's Council of My Phong Ward, and 136 delegates representing over 6,000 union members and workers in the ward attending.
The conference is an important milestone after My Phong ward was established on the basis of merging ward 9, Tan My Chanh commune and My Phong commune; at the same time, it is a strong start for the newly established trade union organization under Decision No. 125/QD-LDLD dated September 29, 2025 of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, receiving 37 grassroots trade unions with 6,150 union members.
The conference raised the theme throughout the term as "Continuing to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities; building the working class and grassroots trade union organizations to be increasingly strong; contributing to building My Phong ward to be increasingly civilized and beautiful".
The conference identified 03 breakthroughs to create strong development momentum, focusing on focusing resources on performing the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members; building a team of union officials with intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility, and prestige; applying information technology in organizing and managing activities.
My Phong Ward Trade Union has voted to unify a number of key targets, including: Striving to gather at least 98% of ward workers in the ward into the trade union organization; Establishing grassroots trade unions in 100% of enterprises with 10 or more employees and meeting the conditions; 100% of collective labor agreements must have 03 provisions that are more beneficial to employees than those prescribed by law; Striving for over 80% of local grassroots trade unions to complete their tasks well or better.
Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui acknowledged the efforts of the Ward Union in soon stabilizing the organization and implementation of activities. Ms. Vui emphasized the key requirements for the new term for a strong breakthrough in digital transformation, considering this a key tool to innovate propaganda, management and service methods for union members in a practical way.
Ward trade unions need to prioritize the development of union members in the non-state and informal sectors to ensure the goal of gathering labor forces; Focus on improving vocational skills and industrial style for workers, contributing to building a modern productive force of the ward; participate in implementing collective bargaining well to sign more beneficial agreements for union members.
At the conference, the decision of the Provincial Federation of Labor to appoint the Executive Committee of the My Phong Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030, including 09 comrades with sufficient qualities, capacity and enthusiasm to lead the workers' movement and trade union activities was announced. Comrade Pham Le Hoang was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union. Along with that, the decision to allocate delegates to the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, was announced, consisting of 08 comrades.
