On the afternoon of November 11, at the Hall of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Cao Lanh Ward, the Executive Committee of the Cao Lanh Ward Trade Union held the 1st expanded Executive Committee Conference for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Attending the conference were Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy Trang, Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Cao Lanh Ward Party Committee Tran Thuy Trang, along with leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Ward People's Committee and 71 delegates representing more than 3,400 union members and workers of 35 grassroots unions and trade unions in the area.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Phan Van Luong - Chairman of the Ward Trade Union emphasized that the Cao Lanh Ward Trade Union was established under Decision No. 132/QD-LDLD dated September 29, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor and officially came into operation from October 1, 2025. Although newly established, the Ward Trade Union has quickly stabilized its organization and effectively implemented initial activities, gradually affirming its role as a bridge between the trade union organization and union members and employees.
The conference heard a report on the process of establishing ward unions and approved the directions and tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term, in which 22 breakthroughs were identified, including: Strongly innovating the content and methods of union activities; applying digital transformation and digital technology platforms in all aspects of work to improve operational efficiency, creating practical and timely service conditions for union members and employees. Along with that is to focus resources on developing units and establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises, ensuring growth in both quantity and quality of operations.
The conference passed a Resolution identifying 09 groups of tasks, key solutions and 10 specific targets by 2030.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy Trang highly appreciated the initial results of the Cao Lanh Ward Trade Union, especially the quick stabilization of the organization, effective implementation and promotion of the role of a bridge between the trade union and the union and the union and the employees.
The Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that the motto "Innovation, digitalization of activities, improving the effectiveness of serving union members" in the new term is a strategic direction, contributing to concretizing the Party's policies, resolutions and the State's laws and policies into the practical activities of grassroots trade unions.
Ms. Trang suggested that the Executive Committee of the new term focus on synchronously implementing key goals, tasks and solutions; focusing on representing and protecting the legitimate rights of union members and employees; improving the quality of negotiation, signing collective labor agreements, caring for welfare, promoting emulation movements, cultural and sports activities;...
At the Conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the Decision appointing to participate in the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions of the Cao Lanh Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025 - 2030. Mr. Phan Van Luong was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union.
At the same time, it announced that 8 delegates will represent the Ward Trade Union to attend the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
