Trung An Ward Trade Union held the 1st Executive Committee Conference for the 2025-2030 term on November 9.
Attending and directing the conference were Permanent Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor Hoang Khac Tinh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Trung An Ward Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Quyen, leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee and 55 official delegates.
Trung An Ward Labor Union was established under Decision No. 131/QD-LDLD dated September 29, 2025 of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation. The Executive Committee has 09 comrades, including 01 full-time cadre and 08 comrades from grassroots trade unions (CDCS). The ward trade union belongs to the Fatherland Front system, operating under the direct leadership of the Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung An ward.
The first conference is an important political event for the team of workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD). Current trade union activities have had many changes in the subjects of gathering, organizing the apparatus, functions and tasks according to the Trade Union Law (amended) effective from July 1, 2025.
The ward union currently receives 26 grassroots unions with over 3,858 union members, including 18 corporate unions, 06 health service unit unions and 02 union unions from the Provincial Federation of Labor. The majority of union members and employees have stable jobs, improved income, feel secure in their work, stick with the trade union organization and trust in the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the Decision to establish the Trung An Ward Trade Union, appointing 09 members of the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions, of which Dang Thi Diem Phuong was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union. At the same time, 06 delegates will be announced to represent the ward's Trade Union to attend the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
The tasks and directions for the 2025-2030 term were set by the Trung An Ward Labor Union with the motto of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".
In the new term, the Executive Committee strives to implement 14 targets, 9 solutions and 3 breakthroughs, focusing on building a strong, effective, united and creative trade union organization.
At the conference, the Standing Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that this conference is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of grassroots trade union activities and creating a solid legal basis for activities to care for and protect the rights of union members and workers. Mr. Khac Tinh requested the new Executive Committee to build a team of professional union officials, improve professional capacity and management qualifications, ensure the ability to organize and operate union activities effectively and practically.
He also emphasized the application of digital transformation and information technology in trade union activities to improve management efficiency, expand the scope of propaganda, organize emulation movements and mobilize union members to participate. The Executive Committee must pay attention to and care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and employees, focus on protecting legitimate rights and interests, creating cohesion, trust and promoting the sense of responsibility and creativity of the employees.
