On January 3, the Labor Federation of Giao Thuy district (Nam Dinh province) held a conference to review trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants and employees in 2024 and deploy trade union tasks in 2025.
2024 is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels for the 2023 - 2028 term. Trade Unions at all levels of Giao Thuy district have closely followed the political tasks of the industry, locality, agencies and units, actively competed in labor and production; cared for the lives of union members and employees.
Guide grassroots trade unions to participate in implementing grassroots democracy regulations; coordinate with professionals to organize conferences for civil servants and public employees in administrative and public service agencies, labor conferences and dialogues at the workplace. Successfully organize the programs "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing", "Union Meal 2024"...
At the same time, 910 gifts were presented, worth more than 410 million VND; the Trade Union branches used operating funds together with the unit leaders to present 319 gifts, worth about 290 million VND to union members and employees in difficult circumstances. In addition, gifts were presented to 9,000 union members and employees on holidays and Tet with a total value of more than 3.6 billion VND.
During the year, many good workers were honored and rewarded, many technical innovation initiatives of workers were applied to help businesses increase labor productivity, save fuel and labor. 52 groups and 123 individuals were awarded flags, certificates of merit, and certificates of merit from all levels; the district Labor Federation was awarded the Emulation Flag on the topic "Green - Clean - Beautiful - Ensuring Occupational Safety and Health" by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the "For the cause of building the Trade Union organization" Commemorative Medal to 5 individuals.
In 2025, Giao Thuy District Labor Federation strives to develop 1,000 or more new union members and establish 2 grassroots unions at enterprises with 25 or more workers. The District Labor Federation coordinates with relevant agencies to inspect and supervise the implementation of labor laws, the Trade Union Law, the Social Insurance Law, etc.
