Nghe An Trade Union presents gifts to support union members affected by floods

On August 2, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor organized a working delegation led by Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor to directly visit, encourage and provide support funds to union members' families who suffered heavy damage to their houses after storm No. 3.

At the places visited, including: Tuong Duong Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company, Nam Can 2 Hydropower Joint Stock Company, Tuong Duong Protective Forest Management Board, Khe Bo Coal Joint Stock Company and Minh Anh - Con Cuong Garment Joint Stock Company, Chairman of Kha Van Tam Provincial Labor Federation grasped the damage situation of the unit.

At the same time, they visited the living conditions of union members and workers, shared the damage caused by the circulation of storm No. 3 to businesses, union members and workers.

The head of the Provincial Federation of Labor hopes that businesses, union members, and workers will try to overcome the difficult period, soon stabilize their work, and ensure the lives of union members and workers.

On behalf of the working group, Mr. Kha Van Tam presented the support money of the Provincial Federation of Labor to 20 union members severely affected by the circulation of storm No. 3 with a total amount of 80 million VND; of which, 01 union member of Tuong Duong Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company, 2 union members of Nam Can Hydropower Joint Stock Company, 2 union members of Tuong Duong Protective Forest Management Board, 5 union members of Khe Bo Coal Joint Stock Company and 10 union members of Minh Anh - Con Cuong Garment Joint Stock Company.

Next, Mr. Kha Van Tam presented the "Union Shelter" house support to union member Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Tuong Duong Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa's family's house collapsed, assets and items were completely damaged, with an estimated loss of 700 million VND.

Sharing his feelings when receiving affection, care, encouragement and support from the Trade Union organization, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Tuong Duong Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company, emotionally expressed: "Due to the impact of the circulation of storm No. 3, our work has been stalled, our assets have been lost, and our family life has been severely affected. During this difficult time, being directly visited, encouraged and supported by the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor, I myself was very touched and grateful.

The attention of the Provincial Federation of Labor has promptly helped us overcome the consequences, rebuild our houses, stabilize our lives after the storm and work with peace of mind".

Representatives of the units' leaders also sent their sincere thanks to the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor and affirmed that they will focus on overcoming the damage and soon restoring production to ensure the lives and jobs of workers.

Recently, union members and workers in Nghe An province have continued to care about and share the damage and losses caused by storm No. 03 to the people of the Western region. In addition to contributing wages, supplies, and items, union members and workers also contribute working days to overcome the consequences. Up to now, 8 business units have been affected, with estimated losses of over 5 billion VND; nearly 500 union member families were affected, with estimated losses of nearly 8 billion VND.
